Why We Built This Site
Georgia gives the public broad access to many public records, but Hancock County records are not all kept in one database. The Clerk of Superior Court handles Superior Court and Juvenile Court records, including civil, criminal, divorce, real estate, and other official records. Magistrate Court handles small claims, landlord and tenant claims, bad checks, garnishments, bonds, mediation, and pretrial services. Probate Court handles estates, wills, guardianships, conservatorships, marriage licenses, traffic matters, vital records, and commitments. The Sheriff handles jail, custody, law-enforcement, and warrant-related questions.
This site brings those local paths into one reference point while keeping the distinction between official records and private information services clear.

This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Georgia court, Hancock County office, sheriff's office, clerk's office, or state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:
- We cannot file paperwork or send records requests on your behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of any court document or vital record
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
